Overview
The "R-MC Connect" network is designed for entertainment devices as well as visitors to the college. It is not designed to reach any internal college resources since it is not a secure network. Connectivity speeds will be significantly slower should you choose to keep your secure device on "R-MC Connect" so we recommend forgetting the guest network on your computer/tablet/smart phone or preferring "R-MC".
- Connect to RMC Connect.
- If a browser page does not automatically open up, then launch one.
- A Welcome to the RMC Network banner page will load.
- Click the check box to accept the network policy.
- Choose to Connect Guest.
Issue
Faculty, Staff and Students should only connect to the “RMC” wireless network on their computers, phones, or tablets as "R-MC Connect" will not provide access to college resources such as printing, etc.
Troubleshooting
Forgetting the "R-MC Connect" for Faculty, Staff, or Students:
- On Windows: Go to Network & Internet settings > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks and forget the "R-MC Connect".
- On Macs: Go to System Preferences > Network > Advanced > Select the "R-MC Connect" and click on the minus sign and hit OK. Note that on College Macs, this will require temporary administrative privileges requested here.
- On iPhones/iPads: Go to Settings > Wi-Fi > select the blue information system icon by "R-MC Connect" if joined.
- On Androids (Might vary depending on device): Go to Settings > Connections > "R-MC Connect" and select forget.
- Reconnect to the preferred "R-MC" network on your smart phone/tablet/Windows or Apple computer with RMC email address and current password.
