Overview
- Download the Microsoft Remote Desktop App from the Apple App Store if on a personal mac or from self-service on a college-managed mac (you may need to request to be added to the Remote Desktop group in Jamf if it is not available to you).
- Open the Windows App for Mac and click on "Add PC".
- Enter PC Details: Input the Windows PC's name or IP address in the "PC name" field. It will save the information when you click the “X” in the upper left corner.
- Connection Name: RMC Apps Server
- PC Name: apps.rmc.edu
- Username: rmc\yourusername
- Password: your RMC password
- Configure Settings: Customize display, audio, and other settings as needed.
- Connect: Select the added PC from the list and click "Connect".
- Approve the DUO Authentication Prompt.
If you have previously installed and configured the Global Protect VPN application, and are connected, you can use this application to remotely connect to your on-campus windows computer by creating another connection and replacing the Connection name with a friendly name and the PC Name with the name of your computer.
Troubleshooting
Make sure that you are connected to the Global Protect VPN if off-campus or not connected to the R-MC network on campus.
