Managing your Junk Folder

Overview

Most of the junk mail messages that are delivered to your Inbox are messages from reputable companies/vendors and are not spam messages from unknown sources trying to obtain your personal information. You have the ability to unsubscribe from these distribution lists by choosing "unsubscribe" at the bottom of the message. Do not provide any passwords or personal information when unsubscribing from these distribution lists.

When you sign up for conferences, newsletters, or visit websites, there is often a statement in the terms and conditions which states that by signing up you are allowing the company/vendor to share your email address with vendors, partners, and other affiliates. Although you may not have directly signed up to receive information, you may still receive emails from these entities.

Issue

Junk mail is delivered to my Inbox, even when not subscribed.

Troubleshooting

Please view the text or close captioned video instructions on how to label a message as junk or not junk. You may also choose to block the sender or domain as part of this process. The reverse of this would be to add a recipient to the safe senders list in Outlook if they are going to junk based on certain criteria such a keywords, IP, etc.

Label a message as "junk" or "not junk"

You can also create a Mailbox Rules to move mail from a sender to a specific folder.
