A. From the Junk Email Folder (Recommended)
This is the fastest method if the email you want to mark as safe is already in your Junk Email folder.
- Locate the Email: In the Outlook desktop app, go to your Junk Email folder.
- Right-Click the Message: Right-click the email message from the sender you want to trust.
- Choose Junk Options: Hover over Junk in the context menu.
- Select Safe Sender: Click Never Block Sender.
- This action automatically moves the message back to your Inbox and adds the sender's address to your Safe Senders List.
B. Manually through Junk Email Options
You can also manually add addresses to the list through the options menu:
- Access Junk Email Options:
- Go to the Home tab in the ribbon.
- In the Delete group (or Junk group, depending on your version), click the Junk button.
- Select Junk Email Options... from the drop-down menu.
- Open Safe Senders Tab: In the Junk Email Options dialog box, click the Safe Senders tab.
- Add Email Address:
- Click the Add... button.
- Type the email address or domain name (e.g., example.com) you want to add.
- Click OK.
- Apply and Exit: Click Apply and then OK to close the Junk Email Options dialog box.
Additional Tip
To ensure that email from people in your personal address book is always trusted, in the Junk Email Options dialog (Desktop App), check the box that says Also trust e-mail from my Contacts.
