Navigating SharePoint Sites Across the Organization

Key Navigation Tools
  1. SharePoint Start Page (Home): Your central dashboard showing aggregated news, recent files, followed sites, and recent activity across the organization.
  2. Global Navigation (App Bar): A persistent bar at the top that links to key sites and resources.
  3. Hub Sites: Groups related sites (like departments or projects) and provides shared navigation, search scope, and branding across them, creating a cohesive experience.
  4. Site-Level Navigation: Left-hand or top navigation within a specific site for its own content (documents, pages, lists). 
How to Find and Access Sites
  • From the Start Page: Click "Following" or "Recent" on the left menu to see curated or visited sites.
  • Use Search: The search bar on the Start Page finds sites, files, and people across SharePoint.
  • Follow Sites: Click the star icon next to a site's name (or in the app bar) to add it to your "Following" list for easy access.
  • Hub Navigation: Navigate between related sites by using the menu on a Hub Site's main page.
